Since we must pay for all reserved meals, late cancellations or no-shows will be billed for the full cost of the meal. If you RSVP on behalf of a guest and the guest does not attend, we will bill you for the cost of your guest's meal. Details This month ASWA is pleased to welcome Laurie Gwinn Director of Human Resources from United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) for our December meeting. Laurie will provide an overview of UCP and will share the organization’s mission, vision and position statement with respect to the community and programs UCP offers. In addition our meeting, we are asking our members to bring gift cards or make a general donation to UCP. UCP has a lot of families that simply do not have any money to spare for the holidays; the UCP Respite Team chooses a couple of families to deliver food, toys and clothes on Christmas Eve to them to make their holiday a little brighter. UCP would LOVE to include a gift card with each holiday basket! In general, UCP needs gift card to places so their families can buy multiple items, such as toys, clothes and/or food. With more than 20 years of human resources managerial experience, Laurie’s experience includes the development and/or revamping of HR departments in both private and public sectors. In addition to managing core human resources functions, Laurie has focused on optimizing staff development, state and federal legal compliance and administering compensation and benefits programs. Laurie has served on boards for United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and March of Dimes Official National Registry Statement: ASWA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
